1. - tion

 

 

- action = v. deal with sth
 ex) Your request will be actioned.  (passive voice)
* french) action = n. action (not verb)
ex) mettre qn/ qc en action = put sb/sth in action

 

 

- function = v. work or operate
ex) Despite the power cuts, the hospital continued to function normally.

1. -tion으로 끝난다고 다 명사는 아니다. 오히려 동사로만 쓰이는 것도 있다 (deration)
2. 나누다, 배치하다의 뜻으로 쓰일 때는 수동태로 많이 쓰인다 (section, partition, position, station)
3. 프랑스어에서 같은 어휘를 갖고 있다 해도 쓰임새까지 같지는 않다 (오직 명사)
